XRP Seoul Adds Tokenization and Lending Executives
Investors and developers exploring financial uses for XRP will hear from companies working on tokenization, lending returns, and digital asset protection at XRP Seoul 2026. Host XRPL Korea unveiled its fourth speaker lineup Sept. 29, adding Datavault AI, SOIL, Firelight, Axelar, RedStone, and Midnight. The program includes applications built on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and other blockchains.
The gathering will take place Oct. 3 at Grand Hyatt Seoul during Korea Blockchain Week, with Ripple serving as title sponsor. The XRP Seoul speakers include Ripple President Monica Long, Datavault AI CEO Nathaniel T. Bradley, and SOIL co-founder Nicholas Motz. Representatives of banks, investment firms, and software developers are also scheduled to participate.
An XRPL Korea representative said: “From tokenized assets and XRP yield to cross-chain and privacy, we have brought together the infrastructure companies that actually keep onchain finance moving. It will be a place where institutions, developers, and investors can see the ecosystem’s next stage at a glance.”
Tokenization connects traditional financial assets with blockchain systems by representing ownership or contractual claims through digital tokens. Those real-world assets can include bonds, property, fund shares, and private credit. The rights attached to a token depend on its legal structure, such as ownership of an underlying investment or a claim to repayment.
SOIL and Firelight Put XRP Capital to Work
Datavault AI Inc. (Nasdaq: DVLT), which develops data monetization and asset tokenization technologies, has Bradley scheduled to deliver a keynote. The company announced an initial $100 million purchase order for its $QEST tokenization services Sept. 15. Organizers also outlined plans for a demonstration of ADIO, technology that transmits data to smartphones through inaudible sound.
SOIL manages investment strategies for blockchain-based pools of deposited funds, a role known as vault curation, under Abu Dhabi-based asset manager ORQO. Its application offers yield on XRP and RLUSD, Ripple’s stablecoin designed to track the U.S. dollar. According to company figures cited in the announcement, XRP deposits reached about $30 million from more than 3,000 depositors by mid-September.
Firelight Chief Strategy Officer Connor Sullivan joins the roster from a protocol built on the Flare blockchain and incubated by Sentora. The platform uses staking, through which users commit XRP-based tokens to provide capital backing protection against technical and economic risks. It surpassed 50 million XRP staked in March and announced an $8 million seed round led by Gumi Cryptos Capital in August.
Yield products also featured at the previous conference, where tokenization platform Midas introduced a product designed to generate returns denominated in XRP. Midas’ XRP-denominated yield product targeted estimated annual returns of 6%-8% at its September 2025 launch. It forms part of decentralized finance, or DeFi, which uses blockchain applications to perform activities such as lending and trading.
Axelar and Midnight Connect Transfers With Privacy
Moving tokens between networks is Axelar’s focus, with Adam Oozeer, head of growth at development partner Common Prefix, representing the project. It provided the initial connection for the XRPL EVM Sidechain, a separate network supporting Ethereum-compatible applications, in June 2025. RedStone co-founder Marcin Kazmierczak joins from the oracle provider, which supplies those applications with external information such as prices.
Midnight is a blockchain designed to protect sensitive information, and Japan Country Manager Taro Kimura is scheduled to speak. In March, Monument Bank’s partnership with Midnight outlined a first-phase target of up to 250 million pounds in deposits represented by tokens. Each token would correspond one-to-one with funds held at the bank.
These banking applications align with a May analysis from Moody’s Ratings describing banks’ transition toward tokenized assets and digital money as a phased process. It identified stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and money market funds as existing areas of activity. SC Ventures, Standard Chartered’s innovation and venture arm, has fintech investments Executive Director Alex Toh attending.
Other participants include Asseto Partner Joyce Cui and Anchored Finance co-founder and CEO Wenny Cai, representing businesses developing tools for issuing and handling investments on blockchains. The event website lists more than 3,000 participants, over 40 speakers, and upwards of 200 participating companies. Further speakers, sponsors, and schedule details are expected ahead of Oct. 3.
